The service area of the Southwest Council of Teachers of Mathematics is primarily those counties in Virginia ranging eastward and northward from Lee County to Buchanan, Tazewell, Bland, Wythe and Carroll Counties. It also includes the cities of Norton, Bristol and Galax.
The membership includes also mathematics educators in Tennessee in the cities of Bristol, Kingsport, Johnson and the counties of Washington and Sullivan.
