School is back in session! As teachers decorate their classrooms, they will find Deflecto products to be a great help for getting organized and making signs!

Materials:

Deflecto: Frame; 5″ x 7″ black border #69575CR; Storage: 6″ x 6″ x 6″ X-Divider Cube #350201CR; Sign Tags include 1 white marker #899112CR

Memory Paper: 12″ x 12″ multi-colored chevron, 12 x 12″ mini yellow chevron

Cardstock: Black

Kids Wood Shapes: pre-painted: 2 owls, one bumblebee

Stencil: 1″ alphabet sheet

Embroidered letters: sheet of 1″ white letters (to spell teachers name)

School supplies: pencils, rulers, scissors, glue, etc.

Adhesives

Paper Trimmer

Instructions:

1. Frame: Cut a 10-1/2″ x 12″ rectangle of chevron paper. Cut a 5-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ rectangle of black cardstock.

2. Use the stencil and white marker to write Welcome and the room number on the black cardstock.  Adhere the black to the chevron paper. Insert between the panels of the frame.

3. Adhere the owl shapes to the frame.

4. Stencil the teacher’s name as for the sign on a sign tag using the marker. There may be more than one teacher in the classroom, and multiple names can be put on signs to interchange when needed.

5. Cube Storage: Cut chevron paper into four 5-1/2″ squares. Insert inside the four sides of the cube. Press up against the cube. If the paper isn’t glued, it can be changed.

6. Cut a piece of mini yellow chevron slightly larger than a sign tag. Adhere the sign tag to the paper. Adhere embroidered letters spelling the teacher’s name to the sign. Adhere to the front of the cube. Adhere the bumblebee to the cube as shown.

7. Finish: Fill the cube with pencils, rulers, scissors, etc.

Stencil the message using the white marker.

Embroidered letters spelling the teacher’s name on the sign tag.

Decorate to suit your classroom and enjoy!

May teachers and students enjoy a wonderful and productive school year! It is my hope that you have found some inspiration on the blog today!

Make sure to enjoy the small blessings along the way and
Live Life with a Flourish!

Hello, Marylin here today sharing my latest Deflecto project. Do you own an art coloring book? Most adults that I know own at least one and enjoy bringing the art to living color as a way to beat stress and enjoy some solitude. Deflecto Crafts have a frame that is perfect for showcasing your favorite artwork. By adding some black cardstock paper, you can make it into a wet erase board to make lists and leave messages. There are many options to apply to the basic concept that I show here to make it your own!
Supplies:
12″ x 12″ Cardstock: dark pink, handwriting on white, black
Floral Color Art coloring book
colored pencils
laser cut wood shapes: bird, Home Sweet Home
paper trimmer
adhesives
Instructions:
Remove the frame from the wrapper and make sure that the opening is on the top side of the frame. Cut the pink cardstock to fit the frame.
Cut the printed cardstock slightly larger than the colored art print. Layer and adhere papers. Cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ rectangle of black cardstock. Adhere to the center of the art print. Insert into the frame.
Adhere the wood cut-outs to the frame.
Mount the frame using the hook and loop tape that is enclosed in the packaging.
I hope you got some inspiration from the blog today. I had a difficult time picking an art page because there are so many beautiful designs! There are a plethora of wood shapes and paper patterns to choose from. You can make it totally your own!
Make sure to take time to enjoy the small blessings along the way and

Hello, Marilyn here today! Deflecto clear acrylic craft frames are a blank canvas. They are extremely versatile to be decorated and embellished and used as decor and/or signage for special events. With Valentine’s Day around the corner; I made this one into a wet-erase sign that can be used over and over with whatever you would like to write on it!
Materials:
jewelry findings: round rhinestone frame with jump ring; 1/4″ silver jump ring
trim: faux rhinestone trim with self adhesive back
paper punch: 1″ round
dimensional medium: (Mod Podge Dimensional Magic)
cardstock: pink, black, vintage white with black writing
adhesives
paper trimmer
scissors
ink to chalk the paper edges
Instructions:
1. The frame will lay at an angle with the “bottom” as the top and the “top” as the bottom. Cut the paper and adhere the layers as shown. All of the paper will be on the inside of the frame, between the front and back panels.
2. Remove the release paper from the banner hanger and attach to the top of the frame as shown.
3. Apply one drop of the dimensional medium to the inside of the jeweled frame. Press the paper circle into the frame and hold down until it is flat. Let dry in place. Apply more dimensional medium to the inner circle and allow to dry flat.
4. Attach the jeweled frame charm to the large jump ring and then attach the jump ring to the banner hanger as shown.
5. Marker: Bend the sign dangler around the marker. Remove the pen and make sure the ends will fit between the panels of the frame. Remove the release paper from the dangler ends and adhere to the inside panels of the frame. Embellish: Cut a single strand of faux rhinestone trim and adhere it around the sign dangler as shown. Re-insert the marker into the pen holder that you just made.
6. Write on the outside of the frame with the wet erase marker. The writing can be removed with a baby wipe or with a wet paper towel.
7. Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner; I wanted this one to be fitting with the holiday. Use your imagination and embellish the frame any way you like, to fit with your decor at home or office.
Enjoy!

Happy New Year! Nadine here sharing a chore calendar I created to help organize my daughter’s chores. I used the 12 x 12 Clear Craft Frame to get my project started. I used a patterned 12 x 12 scrapbook paper and then cut a 10 x 10 piece from a piece of white cardstock. Drew a calendar grid on the white piece and adhered it to the patterned paper and slid it into the 12 x 12 frame.
Then I used a Flexible Sign Holder, removed the backing from one of the adhesive sides of the Flexible Sign Holder and slid it into one of the sides of the frame. This worked great to hold the Wet Erase Markers which I used to write on the outside of the frame.
The best part of these markers is all you have to do is use a wet wipe or a wet paper towel to white the frame off and start over for a new month.
For a little extra incentive to get the chores done, I attached some money onto the frame with a VersaGrip™ Double-Clip Sign Holder.
Thank you for visiting and happy crafting!
